These are adaptations, not reprints. The text is written for the format rather than pasted into it — an epistolary novel already is an exchange of turns, which is why Collins, Stoker and the Brontës suit it so exactly, and why a novel told in the third person had to be recast before it would work at all. Every one names the edition it was worked from below.
