NetFable is interactive fiction you read as a conversation. Each story arrives the way a chat does — a message at a time — and at every turning point you choose what to say next. What you pick changes what happens.

The catalogue spans supernatural, sci-fi, thriller, workplace drama and romance, and it keeps growing. Every story is rated, and the rating is on the story — not on the door.

Free, and staying that way

Every story is free. There are no unlocks, no coins, no waiting timers, and no account to create. Nothing is held back for payment.

How it works

Pick a story and it begins as a chat.
Chat chapters read like messages between the two of you.
Date scenes read like being there in person, with narration.
Your choices are yours — where enough readers have made the same one, you will see what share of them agreed with you, but only after you have chosen.
Progress is remembered on the device you read on.

The community

There is a Discord server, and it is where the parts of NetFable that cannot be written in advance happen: readers comparing which choices they made, arguing about endings, and saying which stories they want more of.

It is also the fastest way to reach us. Ratings that look wrong, a chapter that will not load, a story you want added — all of it gets seen there sooner than anywhere else.

Content and age policy

Every story carries a rating, shown on its cover and on its page:

Teen — no explicit content.
Mature — adult themes, no explicit content.
18+ — explicit sexual content. These ask you to confirm your age before they open; the confirmation is kept on your device and nowhere else.

Browsing NetFable, and reading anything not rated 18+, needs no confirmation at all. Ratings are a first pass by automated review and corrected by hand — if one looks wrong to you, tell us and we will fix it.

Stories are licensed, not user-submitted. If something here looks like it should not be, tell us and we will look at it.
