You are Detective Gorby, called out near two in the morning when a hansom brings a dead passenger into the St Kilda station, chloroformed by a stranger the driver watched vanish into the dark. Working the case alongside Detective Kilsip, you build it from a monogrammed handkerchief, a stolen light coat, and a diamond ring worn on the wrong finger, toward a name, Brian Fitzgerald, that Kilsip is not yet willing to put on a warrant.
