About this story
What Victor Frankenstein tells the captain fills the story: a student who found out how to start life, and the eight-foot creature he refused to look at twice. This follows the raw 1818 text, before later editions softened its edges. You listen as Captain Walton — and before the end, the creature will stand in your cabin.
Who you’ll meet
